Skip to Main Content About Opportunities Arts Funding Public Art Events Art and Farmers Market Calendar Arts District Museums NEWS/Media Contact Previous Next Working to increase opportunities to enjoy, engage and access the arts in El Paso! The Museum and Cultural Affairs Division is tasked to assist in developing a world-class arts community in El Paso, Texas. To accomplish this, the department established the Museums Division and the Cultural Affairs Division. The Museums Division is comprised of the El Paso Museum of Art, the El Paso Museum of Archaeology and the El Paso Museum of History, each dedicated to providing exhibitions and educational activities that recognize the region's mutli-cultural heritage. The Cultural Affairs Division implements funding programs, public art programs, cultural tourism initiatives and performing/visual arts events that provide a variety of opportunities to engage in arts and cultural activities. MCAD continues to impact the El Paso community and the region through its museums, projects and programming. This success is due, in large part, to the dedication the team has to MCAD's missions. STAY IN THE KNOW with our email newsletter | Sign up today! Airway Public Art Lighting Information and the application for the Airway Public Art Lighting Requests is available at Public Art . Music Under the Stars Update Thank you El Paso for 36 fun-filled years! We have made the difficult decision to place Music Under the Stars on hiatus based on significantly declining attendance numbers—96% less people attending per/concert over the last 10 years. This data, coupled with federal budget cuts that affect the National Parks Service/Chamizal have led us to reconsider the 2020 season. We encourage you to support other free concert series like Cool Canyon Nights, Alfresco Fridays, Parks & Recreation Concert Series as well as other options! Cultural Funding Opportunities Arts and Culture creates a vibrant and healthy community reflecting the character of the city and its citizens. Get more information on funding opportunities. Learn more Summer Concert Series The City of El Paso Museums and Cultural Affairs Department (MCAD) is host to great FREE programming during the summer months. Learn more Downtown Art & Farmers Market Every Saturday morning from 9 to 1 in Union Plaza on Anthony St. Enjoy interactive programming, arts and craft vending, and access to local and regionally produced foods. We accept new vendors year round. Learn more El Paso Museums and Cultural Affairs Family © 2021 City of El Paso. All Rights Reserved....
